Catholic Community Services
In collaboration with Catholic Community Services (CCS), we proudly partner to extend our shared mission of serving those in need. Founded in Salem in 1938, CCS has grown to offer 11 programs across 10 Oregon counties, touching the lives of more than 7,000 individuals each year. As a faith-based, non-profit organization, CCS operates with a deep commitment to the Principles of Catholic Social Teaching, striving to serve the poorest and most vulnerable in our communities.
Together, we work towards a shared vision: a world where children, families, and adults have the knowledge, ability, and desire to take control of their own lives, while living in harmony with others in a just society. Our combined efforts reach out to people from all walks of life, with special care for those facing intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as children, youth, and families overcoming adversity.
Our partnership reflects CCS’s guiding values of Love, Justice, Truth, and Freedom. With respect for the diverse history, traditions, and expressions of the communities we serve, we safeguard the dignity of each person and focus on helping them realize their dreams and aspirations.
Non-Food Pantry
Our community pantry is more than just a place to pick up food—it’s a cornerstone of support for residents, offering a wide range of essential items to help make daily life easier. Stocked through our partnerships with local organizations such as Marion Polk Food Share and other generous contributors, the pantry provides access to diapers, pantry staples, and household supplies like toiletries, cleaning products, and other necessities.
Whether you’re facing a temporary setback or simply need a little extra help, the pantry is available to all residents, ensuring no one goes without. We understand that having access to basic household items is critical for well-being, so we’re committed to making these resources easily accessible. Our goal is to foster a sense of security and comfort, so residents can focus on building their futures without the stress of meeting immediate needs.
By providing this service, we’re not just offering supplies—we’re creating a stronger, more connected community where everyone feels supported. It’s part of our ongoing dedication to making sure our residents thrive, knowing that help is always close by.

Annual Backpack Drive
At Cornerstone we are dedicated to giving back to our residents. We come together every year for a community backpack drive. We gather and distribute school supplies to our young residents going back to school, ensuring they're well-prepared for the upcoming school year. In partnership with local salons, we also provide free haircuts to help the kids look and feel their best as they head back to class. The event is filled with laughter, smiles, and the excitement of both children and parents, as we work to ensure every student starts the year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed.

Dental Exams
We are proud to partner with Gentle Dental to offer free dental exams for our residents! As part of our commitment to our residents, we believe that access to quality healthcare is essential for a thriving community. Gentle Dental’s team of professionals were available for on-site dental check-ups, helping residents maintain their oral health at no extra cost. This is just one of the many ways we strive to support the overall health and happiness of our community. Because here, caring for our residents goes beyond just housing—it’s about creating a healthier future for all.

Costume Giveaway
At Cornerstone we believe that the holidays should be a time of joy, not financial stress. That’s why we host an Annual Costume Giveaway for our residents, ensuring families can enjoy the holiday season without added pressure. Residents are invited to bring their children to our non-food pantry, where they can pick out a costume they love, free of charge! From superheroes to fairy-tale characters, there's something for everyone to help make their holiday extra special.
